it is crazy, but you have to admit, that ml was pretty much forced to do it due to circumstances. still, i'm glad he had the fortitude to stick to his game plan - especially after jacobs fumbled at the goal line. that took guts.We ran it 54 times. That is crazy.
Jacobs had 49 yards on first 3 carries - would ML have stuck it out if it didn’t start off well? I guess we will see next week, whether it’s Willis or Love he’s going to try to keep this goingit is crazy, but you have to admit, that ml was pretty much forced to do it due to circumstances. still, i'm glad he had the fortitude to stick to his game plan - especially after jacobs fumbled at the goal line. that took guts.
Had like 225 in first half rushing. Second half Tenn run D really became solid shut the run down.I only watched through Red Zone, ESPN Game Tracker, and read about it.
Here are things I found Interesting.
- Good
- We won. Every win is a good win.
- What was it ~160 yards running in first quarter? Then another ~ 100 in the remaining 3? Yes, there was a fall off, but Indy knew it was coming and the Pack still ran for a 100.
- Willis through a nice TD pass.
- Defense most of the day.
- Bad
- The Fumble. Stuff happens and they play hard too, but a TD there would have ended the game and prevented the last minute stress. Yea, I know, duh.
- We couldn't run out the clock. Yes, it's hard, and the Pack ran well all day, but when it was needed, we didn't get it done.
- Defense let the Colts get to hail Mary position on the last drive. Great that it went our way, but, Holy Cow, we can't let opponents just cruise like that.
- We must start closing out games - even in 1st 2d quarters.
well they were greatly helped by the fact that they knew we were just going to keep on running it, no matter what. if love was in there, that would not be the case. we might still have done the same thing in the first half, but we would have passed more in the second half.Had like 225 in first half rushing. Second half Tenn run D really became solid shut the run down.
My only quibble with this Keg is that “hail mary” position is a bit of a technicality. Richardson’s range is 15-20 yards further than some QBs.I only watched through Red Zone, ESPN Game Tracker, and read about it.

I understand, but, again, the Pack dominated the game, and couldn't put it away on offense or defense and gave them a shot.My only quibble with this Keg is that “hail mary” position is a bit of a technicality. Richardson’s range is 15-20 yards further than some QBs.
I can only remember one time where they got the ball back with 6 mins and a lead and ran out the clock. Against the Lions 5-6 years ago maybe? It’s rare for GB for as long as I can remember, even when they had good OL and backs. Something in the water.I understand, but, again, the Pack dominated the game, and couldn't put it away on offense or defense and gave them a shot.
My beefs are minor because it was overall such a great win. But, we really must start closing out games.
