Post Game Green Bay Defeats Indy 16-10

Richardson was awful today because our secondary was dead nuts on most of their coverage. At the same time, we were getting enough pressure on him to make him throw early in a lot of cases.
The stuff you saw today with him has shown up on film going back to college and hasn't improved. The high end stuff is tantalizing but he was always a risk.

Malik Willis 122 yards 1 TD and 41 yards rushing

Caleb Williams 174 yards (134 net) 0 TDs and 2 INT's 44 yards rushing.

Shows you how over hyped Williams is that Willis outplayed him this weekend.

Williams has been thrown to the wolves as a rookie. People shouldn't expect so much from him. This is why I'm so glad that Love had a chance to sit and learn. I think it steals so much of the growth away from QBs that are thrown in too early.

Willis did a good caretaker job. I'm not going to get hyped up about his work. He wasn't asked to do anything spectacular. That's what we need until Love is back.

I promise, promise, promise - we don't need to do the week to week stuff with Caleb. Two very different game plans, two very different situations. Chicago is trying to develop Williams as a starter, GB is trying to stay afloat with Willis on the fly.

Something to think about. The Colts knew the Packers were going to run the ball. From the start, they keyed on Josh Jacobs on every down, knowing he was going to be carrying the ball a lot. In fact, he did something that we haven't seen in a long time. He carried the offense on his back, like a work horse, giving the defense time off the field, so they could be at their best, when on.

Let's not overshadow what he did out there by saying; "Yeah, but he fumbled a TD away." He more than proved why they wanted him at RB instead of Jones.

So any word on how serious Jordan Morgan shoulder injury was?
Haven’t heard yet. I watched the condensed replay this morning and my feeling is that Morgan just looks like a tackle. I thought Rhyan was a bit better anyway. Morgan looks long and tall, Rhyan kinda built like Josh Sitton.

I agree, RP. Hopefully, Rhyan just needs to play and he will end up being a serviceable RG. I think they should seriously consider Morgan at LT. Develop him behind Walker becuase I think Walker eventually will give way to Morgan, IMO.

I stated this before the game:

Let's also see if ML can stick with the run. The Colts were gashed last week on the ground for 213 total yards and over 5 yards per carry. The Texans also ran the ball 40 times. We have three RB's to do that.

ML has never been able to stick with the run that well in games. He has to start doing it until Love returns if we are going to win some games, IMO.

I have to give ML props. This is one of the first games I have seen him stick with the run and have us dominate an inferior DL. I know we only scored 16 points but if Jacobs doesn't fumble on the 1 yard line, we score 23 and we dominated the time of possession. We ran it 54 times. That is crazy.
