2022-23 Milwaukee Bucks

The uni question is just like green screen usage in movies. You shoot the scene with the person or people in front of a green screen and then you remove that color editing, and insert any background you choose to replace it. Most of what you see as "on location" is shot on a small stage, and the background added to make it appear as being somewhere that's often exotic.

After you've seen it being done, and understand it, you can pick it out on shots fairly easily. A prime example of what they're talking about relates to something everyone has seen with baseball games. When you see the camera view from behind the pitcher, you will see billboards on the walls behind home plate, with constantly changing advertising. That's super-imposed ads, done with the magic of computers, it's not actually there. Though, in a few cases, they still use static boards back there. It's getting rare.

NHL has been using virtual ads for a few years now, usually in the net above the goal but they are testing virtual dasherboards now as well as on ice logos. NBA is a weird animal since so many of the sideline boards are owned by ESPN or TNT being sold as part of sponsor packages. Euro pro leagues are using virtual end line signage but the graphics are average at best

When the NBA played all their games in one location, didn't they use this technology to logo the floor for games? I don't think they spent all their time changing the logos between games.

Lopez had really big night last night. Was on fire with the 3's. Giannis actually had a very quite game but Lopez said that on nights he had he was just able to take advantage of them going after Giannis giving him free looks.

I believe so. And they followed up on that with virtual floor ads also. I’m many cases you can change some floor panels to accommodate logos so the entire floor does not have to be reset. But the instance you are describing i believe it’s virtual

Here's an article on how it backfired with the Pelicans early trial with it. They got it straightened out, and the center jump circle became home team friendly as time went on.

What’s interesting over the first 14 games is that Bud is becoming increasingly comfortable with Beauchamp at guard and obviously Carter has found his role in the rotation. Nwora has been to be kind inconsistent. All that said Allen is likely the player with the most trade value. A defensive minded front court guy would be a nice piece to add, top of the wish list. Crowder makes some sense to be a PJ Tucker role guy but a true big is probably a greater need.
