No it’s your job to make the best deal for the organization at all levels. That includes what’s best for the brand.
Well I am taking hardline on Rodgers I am not trading him just to make him happy he gets pissed were he goes to bad so sad tell him to do some yoga and mediate.

Well Rodgers wants out to me he holds very little leverage in were he winds up.
Actually he does. He could agree to concessions in exchange for future compensation that helps GB with dead cap $$. It’s about compromise and negotiation by both parties

For the time being, I think they think that getting him back in the fold and going on another SB run is best for the brand. And they probably feel like they did a lot of work to retain (through restructures, moving money around and already paying money out) guys they maybe otherwise would have cut or walked away from if they didn't really think he'd be there in 2021.

The dead cap hit is the dead cap hit. nothing you can do to avoid takinng a hit of what $37 million. Rather say you can go play here or retire and we can back 60-65 million in cap savings the next 2 years by you retiring.

Personally i believe that you negotiate the best deal and move on. What I find a bit odd is how many fans saying if Giannis won’t sign trade him and get something for him. I know not apples to apples entirely but its relevant

Giannis thing was you were going to likely have several teams with stars on him trying to get their team to get him to go to them and bidding war. Rodgers you got a guy likely saying send me here only lowering his value to next to nothing.

You are probably correct and that’s a dangerous game to play. How much that narrative shifts will all depend on Murphy

I still think it's best Rodgers comes back for 1 more year. After this year tell him he can shop himself and if team feels offer is fair they will send him to that team wins for both parties then.

And more than likely Giannis would have been a sign and trade to his preferred destination. Really no different here.

Publicly they may be giving that impression, because it serves the brand positively.
But behind the doors at 1265? We have no idea what the real discussion is.
