I think NBA more teams take risk they can convince him to sign long term look at Leonard went to Toronto they won title tried best to keep him but he left but they still took gamble on him. I think you would have had 3-4 teams at least willing to gamble they could have signed Giannis long term.

The 1 year thing is only best for the organization and that’s even questionable. His skills decline or he’s injured your SOL

Leonard was LA bound, Toronto had no shot to keep him. Again Giannis would have been a sign and trade to his preferred destination

That’s a very interesting question. They certainly have to consider the mood of the locker room and that dynamic, but it’s Murphy so who knows
