Brewers 2022 Season Thread

He's not even elite player mode anymore he's in average
So do what then ? Trade him ? DFA him? He’s not the first or the last player that this happened to. Anthony Rendon ? They made the right move at the time. Hindsight is 20/20

I agree at time it was smart choice but it has bit MLE in backside for now

Near mid-season while still in first Brewers hitting is still among the worst in MLB. This team is once again a team that either tries to draw a walk or swings for the fences. They are top 5 in HR's but also top 5 in strikeout's. While they may get to the playoffs a lack of hitting won't get them to the WS.

Brewers win 3-2 yesterday in 10 despite having 13 hits in the game. The Brewers left 10 men on base with 2 outs.

Now that's just poor hitting when you can't drive in runs.

It’s poor situational hitting. And of the 10 left on how many were less than 2 outs? If you left 8 guys on at 1st with 2 outs it’s much different than 8 guys in scoring position with 1 out.

Bottom line MKE is bottom 20 in hitting. They are a team that swings for the fences all the time. Top 5 for HR's but top 5 also for SO's

So Brewers have not won a series yet in July. Hitting still is crap as it has been all season. Pitching seems it might be going thru a burn out stage as they have seemed to be struggling also. Right now have to hope they play better 2nd half of the season. If they don't win the division they won't get a WC IMO. The hitting is below average and the pitching you can only hope to last so long. If they fail to win the division and don't make the playoffs I won't be shocked in the off-season Burnes and Hader are both traded and this team goes into a rebuild trying to get new young talent into the system.

Brewers approach at the plate is very confusing. Seems it's the philosophy of the organization to swing away in every situation. Maybe hitting just plain sucks. It needs to change because they won't win against good pitching and surely won't last in the playoffs if they do happen to finish in front of StL.

Watching this very streaky team is hard to do.

Yep I also blame Counsel for this he's an average manger at best. Brewers have been playing in a weak division helping them get to the playoffs last few years.
