2024 Badger Football Thread

For those wondering what kind of O Fick wants going forward>>>
Correct, the buzz around madtown is that there is more than meets the eye but they are staying a spread type team so they can NOT afford for a slew of kids to leave.

Some of you here don't understand, the depth is razor thin right now. If this goes south it could affect this program for a long time.

Looking at the 2025 schedule is this a 3 or 4 win team?

We all understand that depth is thin.

What you don't understand is that we understand the starters are not competent in skill, attitude, effort, and focus.

Keg thats such a load of horse poo.... you're not the only old guy here except this old guy has been part of the game a long long time. Spare me and everyone the old school Lombardi BS talk, it's not 1990 and we lost to #1 16-13 not by 33.

That goes for a bunch of the rest of ya.... going to give the lot of ya a bunch cheese for your whine.

Mark, I value your opinion.

Do you think our starters are performing?

My attempt at a point was that yea, I know we're down in depth, but even our starters aren't close to doing and performing at a level of a D1. I personally expected growing pains but progress in the Dairy Raid. I haven't seen progress.

Defense is hit or miss. Last week against OR, I thought except for 4th and 9 - and the plays following - they played outstanding.

But against Iowa - you can't believe they played well.

And, I sure as hell hope you are correct and my opinion is Horse Poo. I'll gladly be wrong.

Some good news for the Badgers today. They got a commitment from 2025 4-star d-lineman Jaylen Williams. Certainly a position of need for UW, They're just a little thin at DL and will lose at least 2 this spring. Hopefully the young guys from the last couple of classes will step up. They'll need 'em, it's a brutal 2025 schedule.

yeah, that 2025 schedule sucks. how did the badgers end up having to play all the best teams? that doesn't seem random to me.
