Almost respectable first half against the Trojans. The second half was a total disaster. The defense spent way too much time on the field. By the 4th quarter, they were wore down completely.
The run game didn't work. The passing game started like it was something special, then spiraled down to nothing before it was over. Wisconsin's ran for 106 yards. That's considered a minimal day for one ball carrier for the Badgers. Not anymore.
USC continuously played 8 in the box. They did not respect Locke and his passing ability. I understand why. As much talent as he potentially seems to have, he just doesn't measure up to the level of a starting QB in a Big 10 uniform. Based on past performance, his passing game hasn't improved enough since day one, to consider him any future in Madison. They might be wise to start looking to next year. Explore the portal in advance. Get someone on the hook as early as possible. They don't seem to believe too much in Mettauer at this point, because they've kind of stashed him away, not letting him even think about playing.
I keep telling myself I have to be patient. I'm trying.
