2023 Draft Thread

At #15, the best players available will probably be DBs and OL. After that, it falls into the range of some really decent LBs. The top level skill players kind of disappear by then, and the guys who actually create plays that makes others look good are still there.

So any decent odds Kincaid is there in 2nd round for GB?

Three tight ends run under 4.55 in the 40-yard dash

This tight end group is stacked. And as far as speed goes, Oregon State's Luke Musgrave is the headliner. He's going to run sub-4.50 at 255 pounds, which will probably cement him in the first round despite being limited to two games in 2022 due to injury. Utah's Dalton Kincaid is a freaky specimen in his own right. And I would like to bring Old Dominion's Zach Kuntz to your attention. On film, he more looks like a wide receiver than a tight end, and he's listed at a ridiculous 6-8 and 251 pounds, which is actually pretty skinny for that towering height. The long strides make him deceptively fast.

The last time we had three tight ends run under 4.55 -- 2017 when Evan Engram, O.J. Howard, and George Kittle did it.

I think #45 might be too late for Kincaid, but it might come down to what teams like which guy. Kincaid, Mayer, and Musgrave are the top 3 TE's and it doesn't seem real likely that all 3 go before #45 so one of them might be there at #45. In the last 20 years there have only been 2 drafts where 3 TE's were picked by #45, so who knows with this much talent and speed at the top of the draft at the position, it's possible all three are gone.

I have seen a couple mocks with Musgrave at #15 but I think that is to much of a reach to take him at 15.

Not Packers draft news but interesting about Jalen Carter today. Timing is very suspect but if he was there and doing what they said he was doing, that's pretty messed up. Mark, you're plugged into the GA football scene, did you know about that?

I'm sure Carter is going to have some interesting interviews at the Combine this week. Just seems odd to me that this happened 6 weeks ago and they still haven't arrested him, but the system does take time sometimes.

Carter likely won't get jail time but he lied to the cops. Teams will look at this say do we want a guy like this on the team. Could cause him to slip in draft maybe go from top 5 to top 15?

Yep this is realistic I turned Aaron Rodgers into 5 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks. LOL
