2023 Draft Thread

If they trade Rodgers I’d expect them to take 2 QBs

Are you thinking they'd draft 2 QBs? Not sure I see that being their plan.

Going into the season with one untried guy with exactly one NFL start and a pair of rookies seems like it could go badly. I'm thinking they bring in 2 guys, one rookie and one low level veteran.

That makes sense, but looked at another way, Love IS the veteran at this point. He’s been in the league three years, he’s just unproven one way or the other. The cupboard is bare behind him, I could see them taking a QB on day 2 and late day 3.

They could for sure go into camp with Love 2 draft QB and a journeyman QB as well. Don’t have to make a final decision till cut downs.

Yeah exactly, it’s going to be a party in that QB room

I have no issues with drafting a pair of QBs to create competition and maybe hide one on the practice squad. I'd just prefer they add some sort of experienced back-up in the room. I'm not advocating for spending big money on one, but in the event Love is injured for a game or two (or part of a game) I don't want them to trot out a later round rookie who's just not ready to play at all. Sure, maybe you get lucky and find a Brock Purdy in which case, cut the veteran, but you could also end up with a Brett Hundley.

How about Max Duggan round 3 or 4 and 7th round or UDFA just because of his name Rocky Lombardi? He would become instant fan favorite with fans saying he should start day 1 over anyone else LOL.

Ok folks here is far out 1st round pick. Lets say Aaron Jones and Packrs can not agree to restructed contract and he's cut. AJ Dillon is a power back but don't see him as a #1 fast and pass catching back. Bijan Robinson is sitting there at 15 would you consider him since he could be a younger and perhaps more talented Aaron Jones who has speed and pass catching ablility that you want in ML offense?

No, I would prefer to invest in a OT or Safety over an RB, RB in round 1 are too damn risky.
