I don't think he gets released. Even if they have to hold him into the regular season to see if a QB goes down.

I’m not as convinced it reset the market. It was more an auction than a trade / restructure, not the typical process. It may reset the Burrow, Herbert market but past that who knows

I think it makes deals a lot harder with top QB's like Jackson, Burrow, Herbert they say they want the same type of deal so either give it to us or tag us until we hit FA.

Depends on a few factors. # is Watson around and for how long #2 what’s the locker room like.
 
I think 4-5 games into season Seattle season is going south quick they might make trade for Mayfield.

I mentioned Burrow and Hebert but what they want and what they get are not necessarily the same. Jackson is unique situation
