Better then to have him in the locker room and I don't think they will cut him. They could but that’s probably not ideal

I think Carolina will pass as they are stuck with Darnold on year 5 why would htey want to pay both? He’s going to Carolina if anywhere. Seattle is a reset situation
They won’t. He’s not been given a vote of confidence and Tepper is an impatient manI think Carolina will pass as they are stuck with Darnold on year 5 why would htey want to pay both?

Can only do so much though before you run out of people ot redoJust like any other team, restructure contracts and kick the can down the road if necessary
Right now they are +$25m so they have flexibility. 2023 is a different matter but that’s down the roadCan only do so much though before you run out of people ot redo
And one more thing…restructure his deal (Mayfield) and convert base to SB. Just spitballing give him a low base for 2022 and 2023, say $3m / $4m and prorate the balance over 4-5 years. Gives you short term flexibility and longer term certaintyCan only do so much though before you run out of people ot redo
I am not extending Mayfield have him prove he's a legit starterAnd one more thing…restructure his deal (Mayfield) and convert base to SB.
