Rodgers, The Packers and Reality

I can agree with that. You might as well get something for losing the hot chick. But, if the Pack Front Office really is going to move away from our hot chick, shouldn't they be doing it now when she's really hot?

* I don't agree with moving on from Rodgers. But, if you're hell bent on being the reincarnation of the Bulls Front Office, at least try and get something.
Because you went 13-3 with him the last 2 seasons and went to 2 NFCCG with him. And let’s not forget the dead cap hit this year if you move on. It’s a business and not anything similar to the Bulls / Jordan thing

So if 2021 would be the end Would it possibly be these teams who would think that it could be win now in the next couple years that might want Rodgers? AZ, NOLA, Vegas, Indy, Tenn, Cleveland, NE?
Arizona, outside possible Vegas but only if he’s the last piece which clearly he’s not. The rest no not a chance

Dark-horse? Miami

Lets say team goes 10-7 but he's normal Rodgers 35 TDs 8 INTs 3800 yards is that something you can walk away from?
Can’t judge by a stat line, they're going to score some points with the guys they have on offense. I think their evaluation of Love will play into it, but if someone comes knocking and makes a nice offer? Hey, that's why brass gets paid the big bucks. Tough one.

I think that last piece is exactly what the team is trying to do, and it’s the cause of the rift with Rodgers. GB has him under contract and wants to go year to year. Rodgers wants more security and guaranteed money than just year to year.
You know, that’s the thing that drives me crazy.
Pampered, overpaid, egotistical athletes who want “more” of everything.
It’s the thing about pro sports, in general, that has caused me to stop watching baseball and basketball completely, and cut waaaay back on football to just Packer games.
And the ice is getting thin on that too.

As a valuable employee and a competitor, you never want to be without leverage, and in this case Rodgers doesn't have a ton of leverage other than to hold out or retire. Whether it's real or not, you want to feel like you have a say in your future, especially after performing really well. I get it from his stand point. It's not just the dollars, it's what the dollars say about how likely the team is to get rid of you.

Agree with that, but when your net worth is more than 50% of the worlds countries it makes me  when you keep asking for more.

And pampered egotistical owners who hide behind anti trust exemptions and get handouts from any state or local municipality that comes calling. NFL players for the most part have a short shelve life and most guys who sign a 5 year contract never see the end of it because they become expendable because of cap issues. To fans it’s entertainment to players it’s a business and they need to maximize that potential because unlike us at their careers are short

I had them looking at a day 2 QB last year depending how the board fell
interesting that only one qb was drafted on day 2 - jalen hurts in the second round. not one qb in the 3rd round. it was a totally crappy year to draft a qb imho. they should have waited until this year.
