Well there is no tape from last night's game, so maybe that helps them retain Boyle.
Geez, both Hundley and Kizer were pretty mediocre last night. There is nothing to separate the two. I'm really struggling to figure out what they thought they saw in Kizer to make them give up Randall to get him. At least with Hundley they only gave up a late Rd pick for him.
If one takes your comment and Packinatl’s last comment as correct, (and I agree with both of you)........I would not expose Boyle to the waiver wire.
Both Hundley/Kizer = Milktoast.
You dump one of them and keep Boyle as your #3 QB.

I couldn't agree more, but I have this bad feeling they will keep both Kizer and Hundley for some reason. Also agree with RB - keep the one with more years on his rookie deal. Hundley is what he is and won't improve enough to make the time investment worth it. At least with Kizer you have some hope he might improve with more time in the system.
I don’t think McCarthy is bad at developing QB’s. It’s what he has to work with as compared to Holmgren are night and day. Brooks, Brunell and Hasselbeck were somewhat pro ready. Hundley and Kizer no. If you saw Hundley at UCLA or Kizer at Notre Dame you will see what I mean. Rodgers for all his success was mechanically a mess before McCarthy. Look at the change in him from year 2 to that game in Dallas. Night and day. We forget the deer in the headlights Rodgersthey will keep both Kizer and Hundley since it's a pissing contest between Gutey and MM. Unless Gutey flexes his muscle. But I doubt it.
Boyle is better off somewhere else anyway. MM sucks at QB development despite his reputation. MM would find a way to ruin him.
I think Darrell Bevel and Tom Clements were the two coaches who did the most in developing Rodgers. It was Bevel who instilled his rhythm, changed his arm position during his drop backs, and taught him to use his feet to make himself ready to make passes without needing to reset to throw. McCarthy keeps getting credit, but I don't believe he's really the one who accomplished it. As far as the McCarthy "QB school," outside of Rodgers supposedly being part of it, but really the Bevel/Clements man, who did he develop into a top QB in the league, or even a starter?
I've never seen McCarthy as that guy to be honest. Even when I hear Rich Gannon talk about him when McCarthy was the KC QB coach, I laugh. Gannon didn't strike pay dirt until he was with Jim Harbaugh who helped him win the MVP. McCarthy is an overrated bag of bones as a coach.
