Who will be the Next GB Head Coach ?

If they hire Philbin, Pagano or Caldwell.... you know how they have the yellow vest protests in France? I’m calling it right now, I’m going to organize the yellow jersey protests, or the cheesehead protests. Going to march on Lambeau and won’t stop until Murphy and Ball are defenestrated.

Be like 08 when fans went to Lambeau holding signs saying bring back Brett and got a bunch of people to sign a petnions to bring him back as starting QB. I laughed at those people.

Lincoln Riley says he’s not interested in NFL right now

“If it was 20, 30 years ago, where there were some major differences, maybe. … The way the college game has evolved, financially it’s a lot better situation now when you compare it to NFL teams. We’re at a place where we’re happy, and we don’t take that for granted. I love coaching at Oklahoma, love coaching college football.”

That's a huge statement from Riley... The NFL is not as attractive an option as it used to be. People think Gruden is over paid. But NFL HC salaries are equal to top salaries in College FB. Unless the NFL starts paying more for HC these guys aren't gonna leave college. Why should they?

Another example of the sad state of the NFL right now.. depsite the $$ the NFL is making off of TV

Don't you think part of it is, the stuff you deal with concerning College Players is a lot less than the crap you deal with concerning Pro Players, i.e. you have the same stupid dumb stuff, but I would think you get less talk back and attitude from the College guys.

I think that's a big part of it. And now that there is the same, and in some cases more potential $$ in college, why would someone want to make the jump? There is no reason.

They all say that right before they leave. The NFL, coaching professionals, is still the most prestigious coaching gig in football. Some of the top college HC's make almost as much as the NFL HC's, but for the right money they can be convinced to try the challenge of the NFL.

There's going to be a lot of unhappy Packer fans when the announcement is made. Count on it. The Caldwell interview was done to insure they followed the hiring rules, because they already have someone targeted for the job, and couldn't say who it was, until after they met that obligation.

Expect the choice to be announced less than two weeks after Sunday's game. There's lots to do to get ready for the draft, and they need a coach on board, with a supporting staff, to determine what names go where in their slots.

Most of the time they leave it at I'm not interested. Riley comes right out and says that the NFL is no longer most prestigious. It's a big statement

There will be unhappy fans no matter who it is. There just aren't any consensus HC candidates out there who are top tier.
