Post Game Vikings defeat GB 27-25

A "slow start" is an understatement. Starting 54 minutes into the game is not a "slow" start - it's a "too late" start. I was hoping the Saints game was indication of consistent play throughout a game. Is it a youth thing? We're not going to beat Philly, DET or MN until we figure that out - and we need to do it very quickly.

Hoping for a healthy D secondary and Wyatt, and receivers that can get open in time for playoffs. We have the potential.

Just go into the playoffs with no expectations and healthy and see where we go. The NFL playoffs are a crap shoot and anything can happen. Look at at what happened in 2010 and also the many years where we went in expecting the Super Bowl and just choked.

I do believe we can beat the Lions or Vikings, but until we actually execute well enough to do it, we’re the 3rd best team in the North.

On the plus side, Lions/Vikings for the division and #1 seed is a hell of a matchup and pretty much guaranteed to be the regular season prime time finale.

I'm disappointed to lose but I do take solace in having not helped the Lions.

Think people read too much into these late comebacks. We were dominated by Minnesota for 50+ minutes of both games. Circumstantially, we made both interesting, but the play calling and flow is just so different near the end of these games. You can’t look at it in a vacuum and say we lost 27-25 like a wire to wire 27-25 game. We were never in control of this game.

It’s a good sign that the team doesn’t quit when it gets down late. That’s the positive that can be taken out of it.

Still rooting for Atlanta tonight as I think an Atlanta/Rams first round game is significantly more winnable. If Atlanta wins, our loss today is probably moot. That’s the other positive.

Pass rush, or lack thereof, gave Darnold way too much time today.

Love wasn't good.

Receivers's hands were not good.

Edgerrin Cooper is a difference maker. Carrington Valentine looks like a starting corner.

Gary not a difference maker. Clark not a difference maker.

Daniel Whelan is f ing' awesome.

All things considered, we almost pulled off a comeback.
sadly, i don't think we really did. i think the vikings went to a soft defense knowing full well that their offense could easily control the ball for few minutes. i mean you could see they had no fear of our defense when they actually ran two pass plays in the final minutes of "kill the clock". i agree with jblood - we are the 3rd best team in our division. that could change next year if the vikings decide to move on from darnold and i think the lions may lose some personnel this offseason.
