Post Game Vikings defeat GB 27-25

Let me just say this it's really a group-wide post more to any one person. I think you're way overthinking some stuff. It's week 16, 11-5 which is the majority of people had us finishing here so I am a bit perplexed by your angst.

Defense, my goodness we have so many folks here with short memories, We beat this horse to death before and during preseason but I'll try again. This whole 3/4 to 4-3 plug-and-play nonsense and why it's not that simple has been on full display.
It was never ever going to be simple or a quick perfect fix.

Depth, ditto see above: As a group when AR left looking at the cap and personal we almost all agreed it was a 3-year deal to get restocked. This next draft and FA cycle should be those finishing touches. It's always nice to want more quickly but in reality, we do not have all the horses in the barn to run the race.

ML, his record his first 5 years is stellar, his win % is top 5/7 all time. Is he perfect? Nope but come on some of you are a bit out there with the criticism. He's a hell of a lot better than Fat Albert and his jimmy john menu call sheet. (Dallas fans know now)

Vikings game thoughts a day later. GB came off of a hell of a 3 game run the NFL put them through. It's extremely hard to game plan and execute perfectly in that back to back to back situation. I think we had tired legs and minds, not just players but coaches too.

WR thoughts gotta hold those passes when they are in your hands. Just that simple. Paid pros who are second in the league in drops say enough. I don't agree that a vet player fixes it at all. Draft one high.

Love, as stated last night. You can't bitch at him trying to make plays and he throws picks then come back and complain when he's very ho-hum. Turn him loose like it's a two-minute drill in a pistol set. You saw that in the last 5 minutes... green light it in the first 5.

I am not mad about winning 11 and getting in.

BOTTOM LINE: We need more talent in key positions to make a run. Stop expecting safties to play slot corner and guards to play OT and wonder What happened to the Packers? FP( Cch sb( br)this all
Good stuff, Mark. You make great points on the D and I agree. I have been calling for our D to stop the run for 10 years and it finally has. I am very happy with the results so far from Hafley.

I hope you are right on the 3 game stretch. Hopefully they get a little rest and come back strong this week and in the playoffs.

RB, not sure about that. The Vikings were blitzing at the end. At least from what I saw.
tell that to jordan love. lol.
they probably started blitzing as the packers got close to scoring and the field was shortened. but for most of the drive, the cbs and safeties were laying back.

We’re gonna leave this loss and the other 3 division losses back in 2024 (along with that cursed SF game) and start over again in 2025. New year, new playoff season. That’s it.

I hope it's possible.

The 6 2024 losses were from teams that beat the crap out of our Oline and Dline. I don't know how you fix that in a week, but we can hope, and I hope your right.

Go Pack Go do what you do

If talent wins out then you're probably right. I just think they're a tight team right now, they've been playing tight and I don't know why. Maybe going into the playoffs as a complete underdog that no one believes in will loosen them up.

Have read many articles. Appears only Love was humbled, "think they loosened up there defense." It seems many Packers think we can take the Vikings, Lions, and Eagles - thank goodness, it's not offensive linemen talking tough - hope they're right. I guess you need that optimism.

Go Pack Go do what you do. BUT, PLEASE SHOW UP AND BEAT THE DAMN BEARS.
