Post Game....Packers slip by Jags

Well he’s #2 on the team in both sacks and QB hits. Might be more of statement on the lack of talent on D but let’s be honest he’s not an OLB.
Pretty sad that he's #2 in sacks and has 2.5 sacks this year. Shows you how crappy we are at getting to the QB.

Part of the problem is you can’t really blitz. #1 without Alexander and King you cannot put guys like 37 on an island 1 on 1. Z Smith is the only capable edge guy you have #2 who on the inside can even get a push? Clark maybe but that’s it.

Jags came out and played hard on both sides. Their defense played one of their best games of the season; either that or our Offensive Line really played bad today. Our front 7 didn't do much until Q4, and then Rashan Gary was in on those last 3 plays making a difference. I know we've talked about this before, but if we're going to play defense this way, we need ILB's that can actually run to the ball and make a tackle. That's what we're missing right now.

Last night I watched NE's OL neutralize Baltimore's DL, and then watched Baltimore's ILBs, including Patrick Queen, get ground down and pounded into the turf. Frankly I don't think GB's run D improves until they switch to a 4-3 or figure out how to play with a heavier base.

Problem with Packers D is they rarely play base personnel package.
Vast majority of snaps are in Nickel and Dime using just 2 and sometimes only 1 DL in the package.
It’s supposed to be a “stop the pass” first defense. But that only works if your package can get pressure on the QB, and they haven’t.

Can't blame them though for using the nickel and dime our DL outside of Clark are a joke and I think most of these guys would struggle just to end up on a roster let alone be a backup. I know a lot of people scream we need to draft a WR for Rodgers but we also need to draft DL to actually have a comptant DL.

Idk I can see this going pretty far on the back of dave being healthy and Lazard coming back. MVS looks in rhythm.

This scheme isn't an unknown so to speak.... nothing they come up with is a new look which in itself wouldn't be a big big deal but when you half ass the scheme and tackle like the Green Bay West Wildcats you're going to look crappy. I never liked this DC hire and think ML would be wise to move on.

Rodgers did not even look to another WR not named Adams or MVS yesterday. If your QB won't even try a pass to the guys there is no point even having them on the roster. If I was a defense I would not even worry about covering them and just roll a extra man towards Adams
Actually he did. ESB & Taylor quit on routes and 12 was not thrilled with them. You target and connect with guys who are open

rodgers connected with six different receivers in the game. the fact that only two of them were wide receivers isn't that big of a deal. i agree with the comment about esb and taylor, but both guys are essentially rookies (even though esb has been on the team for as long as mvs). when lazard returns, rodgers will have another receiver that he trusts.
