Multiple sources are reporting that QB Jordan Love has told friends that he won’t sign a contract that doesn’t make home the highest paid player in the NFL. Team sources are saying that Love says he won’t play for less than $60 million a season. He’s demanding a 5 year, $300 million fully guaranteed deal. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst is offering $180 million for 4 years with only part of it guaranteed.

I can't see that being real. GB will never fully guarantee 300 million nor can I see them only offering 45 million a year.

I think it will be closer to the one I saw last week 5 years $280 million. Would be $56 million a year but still be the highest paid QB.

Now that they restructured Royce Newman's contract, they may have the money to pay Love.

LaFleur said Saturday will be the first day of pads and they will go in pads as much as possible. He said it will help them work on the man run scheme, which they try not to do unless they're in pads. They will be in shells today.

Really hoping it gets done this weekend if not today. Taking this into next week just dials up the pressure (and fan angst).
