Packers 2024 Training Camp Thread

Looking at roster right now I have about 51 guys who I think make the team. So I wonder will maybe a extra OL or DE spot get one of those spots? Will GB stash a guy on IR who maybe would be fringe player to make the team?

Also right now I question will GB's streak of UDFA making the team continue? Jennings was given a large guarantee if he makes the team but he's been hurt most of camp and question if he can make the team or if GB just IR's him. Otherwise only UDFA maybe who has chance I think could be the recently re-signed Peter Bowden having a shot at winning the LS job.

The Packers aren’t done looking at kickers. They’re bringing in Jonathan Garibay for a workout, per source. He spent last season in the UFL, where he missed only one kick.He originally signed with the Cowboys in 2022 out of Texas Tech, where he once made a 62-yard GW FG.

Yeah they may do a waiver pickup if these two don't get more consistent

Here's something you would not have seen under Joe Barry: 10 defenders within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.

obviously it will change before the regular season starts, but still interesting to see.

I might be wrong here, but it looks like the depth of this lineup is amazingly stronger than it was two-years ago, and at the same time, young. Our second level players, and even third in some cases, looks like a competitor, even if there are injuries, which we can almost certainly count on happening.

And to top it off, the depth, by positions on defense has fit quite well into the 4-3 base front 7 that Hafely brings to the table.

Couple all this with the amazing growth of the receivers group, and the level of production that Love appears to be capable of delivering, and there's plenty of reasons to believe this team is on the cusp of being something special.

Like it or not, a person has to admit that the Packers have done a great job of drafting, and signing free agents over the last three years, including this season.
