Packers 2024-25 Season Thread

love it! no pun intended.

flip side: now show the two interceptions. hide)
The big thing is that the coaching staff needs to keep Love grounded in who he is, not let his ego run rampage like what happened to both Favre and Rodgers. Both of those guys began to believe they were bigger than the game.

With the trade deadlinecoming up shortly who would be a player if you are Gute you are calling on? Is there anyone you might offer a high pick to get?

One guy I might call on is the Browns for Craig Newsome. GB could use CB help and Newsome is under contract for next year as the Browns picked up his 5th year option for $13 million.

If there is any trading done it needs to be on the OL or MLB…

I doubt very much the Packers will trade any equity. IF anything, they might do a one for one trade, but I highly doubt that as well. To be honest, I think they're into the "unity building" mode on the team, saying that those who got them this far will carry them the rest of the way. The only way that would change, or if an unbelievable free agent happened to fall into their hands. With their record, they're way down on list for FAs. Lots of teams in need ahead of them.

I can't fathom any quality OL are available for trade. It's such a problem around the league, it's build from within or bust. The big Q on GB's line right now is LT with Rasheed Walker. They have Andre Dillard, though not starter quality his best position is LT, and similar to Yosh Nijman last year maybe they need to start rotating the two just to light a fire under Walker's behind. He played well last year when in danger of getting benched, try to motivate him again. Otherwise, look at the OTs on the street right now and pick your favorite.

I kinda like GBP's idea of a corner. Stokes has played his way off this team. Valentine I like but he's been dinged. Ballentine is a good soldier, he can give you winning ball but not a preferred starter.

Otherwise I would not trade any of our WR, we effectively need all of them for various reasons that have been gone over before. Maybe keep an eye out for a LS?

The Packers have been blitzed more than any offense in the NFL this season at 43.5%. They have allowed the 5th fewest sacks in the league.

Sterling Sharpe and Cecil Isbell have moved to the final 25 for the 2025 senior committe vote for the HOF.

That tells me that the line is doing a solid job. Not letting them get to the QB. It also tells me that teams worry about the QB/Receiver combos the Packers have to work with.
