Packers 2022 Thread

Just context to the $50m per year offer that’s been reported. Who leaked it?

Was if GB to again show we tried and we just have decided to part ways?

Was if Dunn who threw out the number knowing his client is leaning towards walking and let’s see what sticks?

Was if Dunn if Rodgers does want to continue to play and throw a trial balloon out there to see what someone would offer to skirt tampering?

Was if Rodgers to just poke the organization knowing full well that number plus Adams is probably no workable?

Leaks happen for a reason. They are calculated

T. I floated the idea a few days ago of trading Jaire this off season if they can get a couple high picks for him.
Extending his contract is going to mean adding another $100M+ contract to the ledger and I just don’t see how that is in the cards given the current situation.
While I consider it a desperation move, I don’t see it as out of the realm off possibility.
Sorry Bud meant some of this as a reply or in addition to you bringing this up. Myself have had the same thought and was playing w it in my mind for awhile and Bam, there you said it lol. It's all good..

No debating the comparison of Alexander to Gilmore. Agree with the premise.
But with Bak and Clark contracts on the books, and Jaire expecting north of $100M soon to be followed by Gary, the x-factor in keeping Jaire (now) becomes what they do with the Rodgers/Adams deals.

If they both leave, Jaire gets his deal. If they either/both stay, I just can’t see how they fit Jaire in.

There’s already been too much kicking the can down the road in terms of void years on contracts. What they do going forward could nuke the Packers cap for several years to come.
Packers letting Jaire walk would be dumbest thing team ever does.
