Packers 2020 Financials

Something to point out. I have always made it a point to not only tell my family of our history, but have documented it as best I can. Because of this, even my Grandchildren, who were raised far from GB, are not only loyal Packer fans, but know the history, and will be attending games this year.

The Packers need to expand that horizon as well.
That applies to everything in life, TW.
If we don’t pass it on, it will become forgotten to the sands of time.

Since new practice facilities were discussed on this site, I thought this article was timely.

Dolphins New Practice Digs

I find the idea to be intriguing for GB after reading the article and watching the virtual tour.

Yeah that facility is nice, I posted a pic of it earlier in the thread
The article said they had corporate sponsors involved in process. Does that help diffuse the overall cost to the team?
If so, I say it’s pretty much something that should be done.
They could use the complex to generate a separate revenue stream from Lambeau if they build it outside the city area (Suamico?), and then demo the Hutson/Resch area to rebuild as organization owned restaurant/lodging area. tc(

yep, its similar to naming rights and in some cases might include build out costs. As an example when Hard Rock Stadium got its naming rights deal part of the deal was shared build out costs for a restaurant

One concern I have. If the Packers continue to build their own brand of entertainment, isn't that in direct conflict with the business interests of the commercial community in Green Bay? These are the movers and shakers who have supported this team - for their own benefit of course - for decades. It would seem that this would alienate a lot of them.

Thats a valid point, but the organization and team is such a fabric of the community that they almost have to embrace it.

It could prove to be a serious stumbling block when it came to getting votes in referendums that support future expansion of the brand. The local network of businesses employ and support a lot of voters. Since the last referendum barely passed, because Harlan was a super brand representative, I think Murphy would actually fall flat. He's not that well liked, or respected in GB, as Harlan was.

The Packers need to remember who actually supports the team.

They are not tearing down the Resch center zero chance it's part of the new Arean they built to now. Packers also don't own it.

Packers would never come close to getting taxpayer support to build a practice center.
