That's a good article CD and it puts the situation in perspective. I agree with you. Its not so much on the Packers as it it the Guard and how they spend taxpayers money. Packers partnership is no different than any other of their partnerships.I understand the disappointment, but this less about the NFL teams and more about how the military is using taxpayer money for advertising purposes...
here's the Packers response : http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com...rs-say-military-sponsorships-secret/27155731/
This is no different when the national guard was paying millions to sponsor Dale Earnhardt Jr Nascar.
There is a wide gulf between knowing something is an advertisement and thinking something was done out of the goodness of your heart to honor someone. The Earnhardt example isn't germane to this discussion because it was known what it was. Nobody here knew the displays at Lambeau were paid infomercials. That changes things a great deal for me.
Our org allowed people to think they were thoughtful and caring when all they were was doing business. How can that difference be missed and called the same thing as something it isn't?

No business is going to give free advertising. If you see the Packers puting up signs or running ads on scoreboard during game or putting them up on their website they are paying for that.
