It’s because Hillsborough and Pinellas counties can’t figure it out. The political climate there is just ugly

Yeah and that's why at some point TB will lose their team. To much politicial BS instead of getting something done.

Either way when govt tries to diddle around it usually ends up with a team leaving. Oakland could very well lose a 3rd sports team because of doing that.

It takes 45 minutes to get to a game from Tampa, about the same from Clearwater and north Pinellas. They built the stadium before the team was even awarded

The ideal location was in the Gateway area right off 275 easy access. But Pinellas was hell bent about it in downtown St Pete

Seems at this point owners have given up on new stadium in TB unless city/county comes to them with a legit offer.
