2025 Badger Football Thread

O'Neil and Walker are a couple of solid gets at major positions of need, but I hope O'Neil isn't their "answer" at QB. A better athlete than Locke, but not so sure he's a major improvement as a passer. Happy with the commitment, but am still hoping for one more, hopefully better, addition.

He has a season of starts under his belt in a QB room with none, I like his film sh))
 
lofy is no big loss imho. he's a redshirt senior that hardly played this year, and when he did play didn't really do much.
 
College Football (and college sports in general) is so crazy now. I think it's crazy. Imagine being a coach and trying to build something. I think that's why we saw many take their money and go fishing and golfing this past year. It will probably happen more.

But wow, If I think it's crazy, imagine having your job dependent on fielding a team and not knowing who will be on that team every hour during the transfer portal time? Of hell, some kid just gets fed up because you haven't coddled them enough and he goes through the motions waiting for transfer time.

It is what it is, but wow.

I've got to hand it to Coach Fick. He's on the hot seat. Things haven't worked out for how he wanted to grow this program, but he's stayed strong and on his course. I hope finds a way to make it happen.

everyone is getting it this way....it's why college HC are quitting and going to the NFL. College FB in reality is semi-pro ball now.

Even basketball. I think coach K saw this NIL and said yeah I am not dealing with this crap I'm out.
 
sounds like a decent improvement over locke. i hope this doesn't cause o'neil to re-enter the portal tho. we're going to need a decent experienced backup.
