2025 Badger Football Thread

Heard the new NCAA vs House agreement that while NIL will still be around that they will have people reviewing each NIL deal to make sure it's just cash for no work. But really what do you have to do to make the deal work make a couple apperances at the company and allow them to use your likeness and name promoting their brand. Not like it's not hard to make it work like that.

Until they cap NIL money teams are allowed to spend each year this is MLB baseball you will have the deepest pocket programs buying the top talent.

wow. he ought to be able to assemble a top-notch team with that bankroll. college football has clearly become semi-pro football for the elite teams. badgers have no chance.
yeah, you want that 5 star kid ?? he wants 1 million with all kinds of guarantees and he'll get it too.

the NCAA can't enforce anything 2 federal courts AND SCOTUS have ruled against them.

That might be low now look at the kid that went to MI said he got at least $10 million NIL over the course of his career at MI.

yeah, but you can still probably get a five-star punter for a million.

Former SD State QB Danny O'Neil visiting Madison on Saturday and is expected to transfer to UW.
O'Neill is from Indy and was initially committed to Colorado until Deion fired Lewis. He had offers from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Purdue, Northwestern, Cincy, Houston, Wake, Cuse, and West Virginia. The fact that he went to SDSU doesn't truly capture who he was as a prospect. He opened the season throwing 127 straight passes without an interception.

Mendoza is a really good player. I'd be very happy if we're able to land him, but I'd expect that to be a pretty hard battle.

This is ridiculous.

O'Neil, as a freshman, only threw for 2,200 yards at San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference. He's not all that. San Diego SUCKED - SUCKED, against Mountain West competition.

The 'kids' we have in the room that were recruited so hard and we were so happy to get must be better or at least as good.

Play O'Neil sink the program and watch the 'kids' leave.

Experience for the sake of experience is crap.

If we're better off
What QBR is Mettauer and is 119 better than that? Because that's our current starter.

You gotta start somewhere. We have zero starter experience and you can't play with that vs USC, Oregon and bama
