I agree with you, unless somehow he was a phenom, man playing against boys - nobody running on him, nobody passing on him, him eating offensive lineman for snacks - but, I doubt that's the case.
Maybe he's got a wealthy benefactor who's going to pony up huge NIL money, and they insisted this guy's on the team but I doubt that's the case.
Maybe they had to give him an offer to get some stud, but I doubt that's the case.

Ballard is a solid get, but it's not like the Badgers just grabbed one of OSU's top guys. Ballard was at OSU for 4 seasons and caught 11 passes for 177yds total in 4 years. I realize he was buried on their depth chart behind a string of NFL guys but I'm not gonna get too excited until I see him on the field. He was a HS sprinter and certainly has the physical ability to start at UW. He easily replaces CJ Williams.
He can take the top off a defense.... we need that in the new offense
Agree, he has some abilities the current group lacks. He's a burner. I dont know if he posts big numbers but I think he can easily replace Williams production.
If they can get one really good possession WR then they are set, he likes to run 3 wide with a TE H-back a lot. Tech can be a weapon in the slot.
