2024 Draft Thread

Pick 41 let's say both Edgerrin Cooper and Peyton Wilson are both there and both the top guys on your board? Which one do you take? Both have injury issues at college which is why they are likely 2nd round picks. Both also have flipped flopped around as the top off the ball LB in the draft. It will be interesting if GB feels the juice is worth the squeeze on either of them with taking the injury risk but as we have seen GB does seem to ignore past injury concerns with players coming out of the draft thinking the upside is worth the risk.

Which one is oft injured and Doesn’t fit the scheme? That’s the one we want :p
 
Let's say Carolina wants to get up into round 1 to secure a player with a 5th year option. They call GB offer 33rd pick and the 1st pick in 4th round and their 1st 5th round pick. Would you do that?

GB gets 2 picks that are sought after with having the 1st picks on day 2 and 3 as teams call wanting those picks as the boards are reset. GB has option to take a player that has feel into that day or trade it out to get other assets to move around the draft board.

Wilson fits the scheme better as a plugger MLB allowing the other 2 to play outside... the old DC in me would draft the guy that fits over the athlete. He's akin to AJ Hawk who packer fans thought was this or that but AJ made tackles and always called the defense correctly..2 things we have struggled at since he left. tc(

interesting. i did have a choice between cooper and wilson at 41. not only that, i could have taken both cooper and wilson because he didn't get drafted until #66. but michael hall jr. with his 9.57 ras was just too good to pass up.
 
Kinchens seems to keep falling on draft boards. A guy who was a 1st round pick in January now in most mocks has become a 3rd or 4th round player.

depends on which draft simulator you use whether you can actually get him in the 3rd or 4th round though. i've been using the pfn simulator and every single time i try waiting until #58 (2nd round), miami takes him at 55.
