June 8th Mandatory OTA begins

If they do call Rodgers' bluff, and Love tanks miserably, and looks like a lesser version of Hundley, the front office will be falling all over themselves to get Rodgers back in camp. It could happen, and I think Rodgers knows this. He might play hardball until they have no place left to run.

If he does end up coming back under these circumstances, the front office will have lost total control of the football operations to one player.

Funny how that works.
that would be a big gamble on rodgers' part. if love turns out to be adequate (doesn't have to be great with ml's system), rodgers loses all leverage.

But then Rodgers can say oh guess what you don't need me you can trade me.

I honestly don't see how Rodgers can lose by holding out to be honest. He either gets what he wants, or is sent packing. Either way, he wins, and GB loses.

This is due to a weak union. They fold on matters like this when it comes getting promises of no punishment for weed and having less practice in the off-season.
Its actually to players benefit. Allows wiggle room. As noted before make it black and white with something in return. If the league cared they would have pushed it

Packers WR coach Jason Vrable said the 5 WRs who've skipped OTAs – Adams, MVS, Lazard, St. Brown and Funchess – all participated in Phase One and "were doing everything virtual and showing up for every meeting." He said none of them told him anything about a coordinated effort to skip OTAs and "hopefully they show up next week" for minicamp."

They will all show because outside of Adams none can afford the fine being on rookie deals.

Well that puts to rest any protest

Participating virtually? That is laughable. Not even close to the same as reps on the field.

And does anyone honestly think the WR would be dumb enough to tell the position coach if it were coordinated? And second do you really think that GB would let a position coach tell the press anything like that?

Actually, the virtual thing is a thing right now in terms of install, ML does change his verbiage by formation every year. I would think the starting QB could use that info too..... oh wait hide)
