Packers final cut down

Gotta wonder if it's his back or perhaps Training Camp revealed his replacement is ready 2 go.
Either way, Thompson's phone is probably ringing.
I'm guessing like Mark said in chat that TT is looking ahead and his contract as well as injuries. There isn't anyone close to playing at his level though to replace him. Long term decision with a short term negative effect. IMHO

Unless Sitton's back was worse then known there was zero reason not to keep Sitton for his last year under contract. You don't want to resign him fine but why cut him this year and make the team worse otherwise.

TT and MM out thinking themselves. He has some issues that need to be taken into consideration. But doing it now is a downgrade no matter who they plug in.

This is a head scratcher. Not sure what to say much less what to think. I sure hope they know what they are doing.

Remember this re: Sitton - his pay was the top number for linemen without causing trouble. That was a sticking point for Bulaga - his base couldn't be higher than Sittons. Sitton is a warrior but we don't know exactly how these guys are when it comes to money. If they want to take care of Lang or Bahktiari early in the season it would upset the balance and maybe start some locker room crap.

To be honest I let Bak walk he's not worth paying 7-10 million a year for when you have Spriggs behind him.

I can't even believe the Sitton cut. Absolutely baffling. Even if you can't work out a new deal, why get rid of him? Just a stupid move IMO.
