With the 29th Overall Pick in the 1st Round the Green Bay Packers select Eric Stokes

Eric Stokes' contract breakdown: Total: Four years, $11,925,514 (with fifth-year option). Total guarantee: $11,834,066.
in a few more years every first round draft pick will have a fully-guaranteed contract.

Packers guaranteed 96% of Stokes contract. He's 29th pick. I would not be shocked now next year the 29th pick in the draft gets all 4 years fully guaranteed.

Giving a draft pick a fully guaranteed contract when you won't do that with your proven veterans is just nuts((

But this is the NFL so why not..

Be interesting though how many if any of the draft picks don't have offset language in their contracts.
Which is the most insignificant part of any contract for rookies.

It’s not a significant amount of cash since it’s slotted in reality.

Think of the impact they’re getting from Alexander and Savage compared to the contracts. Fully guaranteed or not, there’s major bang for the buck there, and if Stokes works out, he’ll be another one.

How much are you risking on those rookie contracts, how much for the proven veterans?
