Rams dismantle Vikings

he didn't say he didn't see it. if you read his lips when the receiver said face mask, the ref said "shoulder". and since the ref was kind of behind the receiver i can understand that is what he saw because by the time the receiver was turned towards the ref the hand had moved from the face mask to the shoulder pad. but anyway, even with the one good camera angle, it wasn't totally clear until they slowed the video down and zoomed in that it was a face mask penalty. and yes, it should have been a face mask penalty. i'm not saying it wasn't. i'm just saying i don't really think the ref had a clear view of it.
Except Darnolds head gets jerked almost all the way around. That doesn’t happen with a shoulder.

Yeah, it does. I've seen dozens of horse collars that look like facemasks. If he thought that was a shoulder pad, I get it. It's easy as hell to look at it in slow-motion with multi-views after the fact, but the game at full speed, not so much. Say again: dump the reviews, etc., and go back to game-speed decisions. Are you going to miss stuff? Yes, but that was part of it for decades.

Jersey grab, horse collar, face mask, nothing would matter. He had an enormous amount of time back there with absolutely nobody getting into a position where Goff felt it wouldn't be a pick 6. He was trying to stretch the play, and that happens.

Over the course of the year, while watching the challenges, I'm actually amazed at how accurate the officials actually are on a lot of plays that I think might be different at full speed.

My question:

All scoring plays get reviewed. Why didn't review catch it?

Because even booth review a penalty missed can't be reviewed.
That’s not completely true, didn’t the refs call a penalty on the vikings after a scoring review against the packers recently?

If Aaron Jones keeps up his pace and does not miss any games he could end up with the most carries of his career. Right now he is averaging 14.85 carries a game the most in his career. He would finish with 253 on the year. Before this 2019 he had an average of 14.75 carries a game and finished with 236 on the season.
I did not see the game. What about Jefferson? Did he do anything?

Red hot out of the gate, looked like he was going to set the record for receptions in a game. Had a highlight reel catch later but overall Rams adjusted and took him out of the game.
