I'm not exactly sure what I saw last night. Darnold had a respectable night. Not a great night, but respectable. But Jones was the only person to record a carry other than Darnold on the ground. When they did run, Jones could only gain an average of about 3 yards a carry, and wasn't able to move the chains. Also, most of their yardage came early in the game.

If this is what the Vikings have evolved to, they're going to be lucky to win more than a couple of games the rest of the way. The Rams scored 4 TDs through the air on them. Being weak against the pass, in the red zone, makes a team extremely susceptible.

Crying about the no call fasmask in endzeone. they get the call they still need to get the TD and 2 point conversion with 90 seconds left.

It was missed, but like you said, they don't have the tools to navigate that far with the time left, for a TD. They are disintegrating as the season progresses, the way it looks. Their defense is running out of steam.

If Aaron Jones keeps up his pace and does not miss any games he could end up with the most carries of his career. Right now he is averaging 14.85 carries a game the most in his career. He would finish with 253 on the year. Before this 2019 he had an average of 14.75 carries a game and finished with 236 on the season.

I’ve noticed this watching their games but someone finally tracked it.

Interesting so they can develop a great scripted plays better then almost all the other teams but after that script runs out and have to call on the fly they are among the worst in the NFL.

Yes, but so far building a 14 pt lead has allowed Flores to do all that crazy stuff on defense that helps them win games. Now teams seem to be adjusting to what Flores is doing overall, their lack of talent in the secondary is really starting to show up (since the 2nd half of the GB game really), so we'll see if they can sustain that way of winning.

I said that in shout last night, they are really treating him like he's on a one year deal. He had I think 20 or 21 carries, almost 25 overall touches. That's too much for him in October. GB knew him better than anyone, and yes McCarthy wildly underutilized him, there's a reason ML liked to limit him to 15 carries a game max.

I guess they're becoming an example of talent showing out, in the end. Flores can do a lot of fancy stuff with looks and simulated pressures, but they're old in the secondary and lack talent there, and all that fancy stuff up front is just trying to hide what they don't have on the back end.
