Post-Game Eagles End Packers Season 22-10

Jordan Love is the 1st QB in Packers history with 0 Pass TD and 3 interceptions in a playoff game

ML with some great comments today.

On the second INT to Baun, he specifically pointed out that Heath was supposed to run that route at 20 yards and instead ran it at 15. It's still a forced throw, Jordan should've just eaten that, but I think what he's saying is that if the WR runs that route where he's supposed to, then that throw trajectory is over the ILB instead of right around his head where he can pick it. Details details details. Bad route running, bad decision.

Remember in this offense he's throwing to a spot and the WR has to be there...if not bad things happen. They taught Love that from Day 1..throw to the spot

interesting that ml is publicly assigning blame to a specific player instead of vague "miscommunication" comments. is that a good thing?

Maybe it'll get the attention of the player and WR coach

If that's true then wouldn't it have been an overthrow? In other words, if the WR was supposed to 5 yards deeper, then the throw to the spot would be further upfield and the ball would track higher. I think the issue was that Love saw him break off the route wrong and tried to get it to him anyway. That itself is a disruption of timing.

One thing that I keep thinking about especially since this weekend is actually a thing FlaPack used to say all the time, which was that Aaron Rodgers covered up a lot of warts. What we're seeing now is that the warts have been around for a long time - predating ML - and that Jordan Love can't cover up those warts, because he understandably has some of his own. If the goal is to win a Super Bowl, then as we learned from our own recent history, it doesn't matter if you have Aaaron Rodgers covering up warts, those problems will out themselves in the end. Love obviously has his own issues to work on and he's fair game for that, but championship team building can't rely on one guy covering for a bunch of others all the time. Jordan needs to elevate his game but so do a hell of a lot of other guys.

the way i remember it is that gute never made him an offer until after he had a deal with the raiders.
The way I remember is that they were in talks and the Pack was going to make a counter based on offers he received. Remember, supposedly, he went to Raiders for family and to play with his college buddy, Carr

Did you listen to the PC? Take 20 minutes or so and check it out if you can. ML can be really good about talking ball and X's and O's. He wasn't calling out Heath. Didnt say his name. He said that the route needs to be run at 20 yards and it was run at 15. Said he saw what Jordan saw and understands why he did what he did. Did not say it was the right thing to do. But he saw the breakdown in what was supposed to happen and understands the intent. He said several times, without being prompted, that the turnovers are unacceptable. I don't consider that calling Jordan out because it's a thing that everyone agrees on right? But it was obviously a bad play and he I think was trying to respect people's curiosity by telling them what went wrong with the whole picture, not just "Jordan love bone-headed pick".
