Post-Game Eagles End Packers Season 22-10

4th down, game on the line. 5th rounder and 2 UDFA WRs. Wicks and Melton run their routes into the same spot, poof, two options gone. Love reads it and hits Heath. Is the throw a little high? Yeah. Does Heath absolutely just need to get two feet down and complete this process? Hell yes. I'm supposed to look at this play and say "Hurr door bad throw by Love its his fault"? Give me a break. So much bad football here.

Yup.

This is the playoffs yet these guys who have been here since camp still are running bad routes and not catching catchable balls. The WR group is not nearly as settled as many thought at the beginning of the year. It needs a pretty big boost in talent and potential.
Young Favre had Sterling Sharpe. Young Rodgers had Driver and Jennings. (Outside the Packers org, Mahomes had Tyreek and Kelce; Josh Allen had issues until they traded for Stefon Diggs; Burrow had Chase and Higgins).

Love has Christian Watson, who is a field tilter, and Reed but the rest of the guys are all kinda replacement players. For all my criticisms of Love right now, they're asking him to play like an elite veteran QB and elevate the play of some really lower tier WR, when the truth is, at this point in his career - just like every other young, talented QB that has ever existed - he needs help from them as much as they need help from him. The GM failed him a bit here. I understand why they tried WR by committee but it all fell flat on its face and they need to pivot or risk sinking Love's career in GB.

In addition the failures of the OL mean his biggest actual threat (Kraft) is typically not available either.

Bottom line: The GM is buying budget groceries and expecting the cook (ML) to make a gourmet meal. We are having the same issues with Gute as we had with TT. It cost us a proven HOF QB winning another SB. Saying that Love and a handful of others should "make it work" is ignorant.

We must inject talent into this FB team and or lower our expectations

honestly, i was wondering this morning which of our wrs are "absolute keepers"? i came up empty. reed comes the closest, but he disappears in the big games. and watson is terrific when he's healthy, but that isn't very often. gute really blew it when he let adams walk away. adams would have been a great guy to help young love for at least a couple seasons.

In full agreement. Complimentary type WRs but not top shelf by any stretch

Adams didn't want to stay here for the $ we had to offer, it's still a business and we have been cash strapped for 2-3 years.

To be honest I think Love has made those recievers look better than they really are. Which is not a good thing because they aren’t really that good.
