Post Game Bears Beat GB 24-22

There was no need to bring Love back into the game and risk getting him injured in a meaningless game. They were going to end up with the 7th seed either way. Offense didn't look good even with Love in there.

Disgusting game to watch. Offense didn't play well. Defense was effective in stretches, but not when it counted. Special teams other than kicker were fugly. Team is not ready for the playoffs, especially with Watson and Alexander likely out. Hopefully they find something to spark them this week.

My keys to the season were non-factors today other than inexperience at QB. Kicking game was excellent. Run defense was mostly fine. Willis lack of experience showed late with what seemed like some clock mismanagemant, but that is maybe also partly on ML.

The personnel weaknesses showed up today and hopefully drew a map for Gutey for the offseason. They need better WRs, CBs, OL, and Edge Rushers. They've got the CAP space to sign a couple of veterans - WR & CB would be great. Draft one of each and try again next year.

Let's go make some noise next week in Philly!

Josh Jacobs finishes with 1329 yards rushing. That is 5th most in Packers history in a season. His 15 rushing TDs is tied for 3rd most in a season.
We were lucky we had him this year. If not, this offense would have been very average. It kind of was anyway. Like you mentioned 4ever, we need a #1 WR and someone else that can take the top off the D.

Willis is not great I agree, but this defense with all the $$$$ and high picks should have been able to stop CHI from getting into FG range at the end. Again, this def woefully underperforms when needed. GB might do well to find a trade partner for some of these guys.

I don't disagree with you at all but again 3/4 guys in a 43 scheme or vice versa always have issues. And we flat-out knew they needed another year of drafting and FA to get where they wanted. 11-6 and the playoffs aren't bad considering.

willis is not great. that's why he is a backup. but when the packers needed a score to get back in the game, he completed a 41-yard pass to get them in scoring position. the poor clock management and the defense gave this game away in the final minute and a half.

This year showed so many areas that GB needs to plug I think it's 2-3 years of draft and FA. CB and WR need help. Pass rusher sucks despite all the picks and money put into it. Starting OL is decent but you have zero depth behidn it. can't fix all of this in one more draft and FA cycle.

judging by gute's success at drafting defensive players, more like 4-5 years. and by then some of the guys that we have who are good will be gone. imho, the only way this team gets over the hump is they find a new gm or the current gm finds somebody else to make the draft picks.
