High end meals or whatever the hotel caters up for supper and breakfast the next morning since the teams are there usually less then 24 hours?

They eat extremely well. It's just billed to the team. They wouldn't stay in a hotel where the best meals were available from Taco Bell. LOL
 
I'd travel with the team if it's allowed. You could pick up little things that might elevate you or at least keep you at that 6 figures job just being on a practice squad. 6 figures is still pretty high living outside pro sports.

You can also meet people that can help your chances away from the game. Excellent points you made.
