Packers 2022 Thread

Yes I’m calling the season right now. Packers aren’t going to run the table for a WC spot. This isn’t a good team just needing to put it together. There are major deficiencies in all aspects of the team from FO to the bench guys…

I’m a little surprised this team looks to be on the verge of quitting at this point (to steal a phrase from 44)… I didn’t think an ML team would do that.

We’ve beat a dead horse about this for years but the glaring lack of leadership on the field gets magnified when things are going bad.

Adversity reveals character and well, the character ain’t good…. Nobody is stepping up into those leadership roles. Typically it would be your highly paid QB, but you know he’s just not into that… on defense we have guys more interested in showboating than leading…

It’s an off year. It happens. I do think Love would inject some juice into this team and Arod is clearly not all there mentally. Maybe give Arod a rest for a few weeks…
If you play #10 it’s for the balance of the season. You don’t go back. Not sure i make that call until officially eliminated. Don’t disagree about running the table it’s unlikely. Yes unfortunately optics matter. Would the team “respond”. Again unlikely. The talent level is not there and assuming 8 and 87 are out that’s not the best chance for 10 to have success

I’m not putting Love or anyone else in there without an off-season to work with some healthy WR. Wait until next year, it’s the Rodgers farewell tour

Good points, however, remember they have an option yr coming due on his contract. They MUST 100% know what they have and you can't do that with him playing in meaningless games. If you let him walk and he pans out you fail, if you keep him and he flops you fail.

The only way to make that decision is to let him play. Honestly, they have very little to lose at this point. The next 3 games are Cowboys, Titans, and Eagles. I mean seriously.

Yep but if you’re eliminated on week 15 or so I get the temptation. Reps are important

Same as I posted for Pack, you gotta know on Love, waiting is a mistake.

Hard to disagree. My only push back is if 9 / 87 are out do you put him in a position succeed? And if 33 is out it more complicated. And then you have a questionable OL

Agree on this you start playing Love soon it gives you idea if he's worth picking up the option and if not and you are getting a top 5 pick if this season keeps going south if you want to use that pick on a QB.

In theory yes but if you play him without 87 / 9 / 33 he’s not in the best position to succeed. It’s not an easy call either way.

One more thing. Is anyone in this QB class top 5 worthy? Maybe 1 guy and that’s debatable
