Packers 2022 Thread

IMHO.
They are building a dominant defense (not there yet, but building)
After AR, the offense will be a “run first” offense that will take the pressure off the next QB to have to win games with his arm.
Run first, play action team. Barry is the new defensive guru and Rashan Gary is the rising star. After him, Quay, Wyatt, Savage. Stokes, Jaire. Let's see if Rasul can maintain his pace.

Kinda almost seems like they're building a whole new dynasty for the past-Aaron era, they just needed him to keep playing, because Love hasn't been ready.

So honest question. What is the Packer's real identity right now? Aside from Arod winning them games. Who are the Packers under ML? Who have they really developed into top-tier players under ML?

3 years in, and it's a good question. What has GB really built? And has keeping Arod around to win a crappy division and then s*** the bed in the playoffs held ML back from creating a more talented roster instead of depending on Arod to win games?
You just don’t take the ball out of the hands of your most dominant offensive player. Play to your strengths. I would say they have become much more balanced the last 2 years, 12’s attempts per game has dropped. It’s not so much what they have built , more maintained consistency and adapted a different mindset on offense

Run first no. They threw the ball 593 times vs 446 on the ground in 2021. In 2020 it was 526 throws vs 443 on the ground. Now go back to 2018 it 640 vs 333. So it’s more balanced than it was but far from run first

Ya, not sure GB has the stable to go run heavy at the moment. Not sure even Dillon would hold up to that kind of workload. Besides your OL needs to be rock solid to make that work. And GB doesn't have that. Yet.....

Packers cut Chauncey Manac
Not Chauncey he was the sleeper who was going to make the team be the surpsie guy who went on to have a all pro year win the MVP and lead the team to the Super Bowl!
