Packers 2022 Draft Thread

Contribute, Yes, definitely.
But anyone expecting a Chase/Jefferson comparison needs a reality check.

Chase was a near consensus #1 WR last year and a consensus top 10 pick, but even still, no one imagined him having a generational, Randy Moss type rookie season. I would greatly appreciate it from the world at large if we could not make that the standard for rookie contributions.

in 2020, the packers originally had the 30th draft pick in the first round. tee higgins and michael pittman jr. were taken with picks #33 and 34. both were pretty much immediate starters as rookies, although pittman was injured early on and didn't resume playing until week 9.
And Reagor was drafted before both of those guys and Jefferson and has been a disappointment. We can play 20-20 hindsight all day

Especially after opting out a year also.

okay, okay. i give up. i will just prepare myself to be disappoint yet again, when some other team drafts a receiver that we could have had and that receiver outperforms every wr on our team. lol.

And you cannot assume Higgins or Pittman put up comp numbers with Adams’s on the other side. But we also could have picked Reagor and he has been a disappointment.

I was thiking more a Jefferson or Chase need to pick top 5 to at worst top 15 to get a guy like that

But that game could be played with any player what if some team drafts a LB that goes on to be all pro and we could have drafted him but took a WR that ends up a career 3 or 4

Outside of maybe London or Wilson to me there is no WR that screams GB needs to get him that he will make a difference year one.

Olave is in that group. No Chase but solid contribution
