Packers 2022 Draft Thread

You will always have some top talent at draft but last year lacked overall talent
And your judging that on 1 year. And that’s not what you quoted. You said “lack of talent “ which is not accurate. You should know by now you don’t judge a draft class on 1 year

Well last year and you included even said that last year draft was not that deep and this year was much better I count that as lack of back end talent in draft

And I’m not judging a class on one year. But now you walk it back to end of the draft. Ok

Bottom line you don’t judge a class on 1 year

Our number one guy last year was very good therefore I deem it to have been a very strong draft

You can judge it by not having many draftable players. It was NOT a loaded deep draft everyone said it was a crappy draft for talent last year

If it was such a talentless draft last year, I guess I’d have to say that Gute did pretty well with his drafting since he picked 3 starters (Stokes, Myers, Newman) and a couple solid “contributors” (Slaton, Hill) on a team that secured the #1 seed for the NFC

Everyone? And no that’s NOT the way you evaluate a draft.

Not sold on Newman right now he's just a guy and they have no one better then him to start

I like Myers quite a bit, but it will always stick in my craw that he could've had Creed Humphrey instead and that would've been a damn near all-world first 2 rounds.

Humphrey was good right out the gate, no doubt!
I think they will both have long, successful careers.
