Packers 2022 Draft Thread

So does anyone here value Wilson or London to be a future #1 stud WR that they would package both #1's to move up to top 10 to secure getting one of them?

I wouldn't . . . but if the Packers have either one that high on their board, they might. I don't see it because the Packers just have never seemed to value WR's enough to even take one in Rd 1, so I sure as hell don't see them using up two Rd 1 picks to get one.

Neither are like Chase right now but how they develop who knows.

Yeah I know that neither will be there when GB picks. I have a feeling GB could move up for a WR question is which one. I think there is a chance the top 5 on the board could be gone by 22 if GB just sits there. Not sold on Dotson being worthy of a 1st.

Here's a different draft thought. Do the Packers avoid taking an OT early to accommodate Elgton Jenkins. I'm sure Jenkins and his agent would prefer he be viewed as an OT for contract purposes rather than an OG. Basically let Jenkins be the RT and negotiate his next deal at OT money. Plus, he could legitimately be a top-10 RT in the league right away.

Maybe the Packers look more to fortifying the interior of the o-line in the first 2 rounds and then take a developmental OT or a more versatile OG/OT type guy later to strengthen the line and add depth. Maybe a guy like Sean Rhyan in Rd 2 who many sites list as an OT, but because of less than ideal length might be better at OG. Then take a Chris Paul or Cade Mays on Day 3 - guys who played OT in college but are almost sure to play OG in the NFL. Or a guy like Waletzko who is likely an OT only, but will need a year or two to be NFL ready.

OT is for sure on the board if GB stays with both their picks. Right now GB has so little depth anywhere on the team you could make a excuse to take almost any position.

Personally I’m not moving up and spend draft equity unless it’s those 2.

If Olave is there say at 15 or so I could see moving up to get him

That seems more likely - you could get to #15 by trading #28 and #53. Still not sure the Packers value the position enough to do this, but this seems more palatable.

Olave is (imo) the best route runner in this draft despite not being real explosive. He’s more “smooth” than explosive.
Also, I believe he brings minimal assets to the table as a blocker in the run game, and that plays against him being worth using multiple picks to acquire him.
If he’s still there at #22, fine.
But I’m not burning draft capital to move up to get him.
JMHO
