Official Week 17 Green Bay vs Chicago Thread

The posts by Cheese and rp are dead-on IMO. There isn't one guy who's a total disaster but there also isn't a "stud"/all-pro type. Was hoping they'd get that guy last draft, but I suspect Morgan will be a so-so tackle and/or a so-so guard. I'd rather they had taken a top-level guard than "just a guy".

It's the reason I see none of these guys as a must re-sign. The closest might be Zach Tom. I'm letting Meyers go after this season and taking my chances with Monk next year. I'm also actively looking to replace Walker or Rhyan if the opportunity is there in FA or the draft.
 
I gotta ask... what's with all the whining and bitching? Green Bay is 11-6 in the playoffs. I think you all forget that Det, Chicago, and MN reloaded with high picks for a long time, two of those teams actually hired decent head coaches after 20 years of idiots.

Meanwhile, we kept winning consistently and got saddled by a certain QB and a certain OT with high cap numbers and some iffy draft picks by Gute. ( Our GM should get more heat) It's been one hell of a long successful ride. If our "down" year is 11-6 that's not much to complain about.

good post. i haven't seen much whining and bitching outside of shout, but the rest of your post is spot on.
