Official Week 17 Green Bay vs Chicago Thread

Ok heres a question, for you and the rest of the group - split the OL into two groups, who is a problem, and who is not a problem?
Problem? I mean from a numbers standpoint the run blocking is fine. Both OT tackles have struggled with Speed rushers at times and our center is just average.

I thought the offensive line stunk against Philly, Vikings, and Lions.

I thought they were very good to great while Love was out.

I think they run block better than pass block. How many times has Love had a clean pocket?

Honestly, I can't pick out an individual problem. But, I perceive them as getting beat physically more frequently than not.

Packers put Jaire Alexander on IR and elevated LB Michael Barrett and S Omar Brown to the game day roster.

Regarding the OL. Every time I start thinking that the OL is getting better and giving Love a clean pocket, we play a good team and they look like a revolving door. How many times has our defense been unable to chase the QB down because their OL is doing a great job on protection? I think that they do a pretty good job in run blocking but pass protection? Not so much.

WR Romeo Doubs (illness) has been added to the injury report and is questionable for Packers vs. Bears

In regards to the OL it’s not that any one guy is a problem, the problem is, as with the WRs, the group as a whole is just not that talented and doesn’t have a very high ceiling.

After GB goes up by three scores give the starters a rest.

The OL responses are interesting - some point out individual players who bring the overall level of play down, others only see the group performance as a whole.

I do think Cheese made a good point, even the guys who are good are not great. They’re solid, starter worthy but not difference makers.
