Mark's Best Available Defensive Coordinators list

Based on the first three names floated out there, a thought comes to mind. The best DC might be $$$$$. Pettine was probably $$$. But after a difficult financial year for the team, they may be looking to go $ or $$.

ML knows all three from his previous coaching stops. Could be a courtesy to them to help advance their careers.

People should not count Jim Leonhard out of the picture at this point. He may be just that good. It's possible he goes there, and down the road becomes the next Wisconsin head coach after Chryst.

I think he's that talented as a coach, and I believe LeFleur knows it.

No reason to count anyone out right now, the process is just getting started

Jim's not going anywhere... he made that clear last offseason. He truly loves coaching at that level right now.

Per Tom S, Packers have reached out to Kris Richard. No word on if he's interested or if an interview has been set up.

Not sure I am wanting Leonhard as did not him and Pettine scheme both come from the Rex Ryan scheme? How close are they to each other?
