i haven't eaten at an arby's in over two decades. we don't have them here in my area. but i seem to recall that their meat is heavily loaded with preservatives, making it pretty salty and not really very beefy tasting.
i remember back in 1980 when i still lived in wisconsin i used to stop at this little deli on my way home from work. they roasted their own beef and made these incredibly delicious sandwiches that were just thinly sliced roast beef on a buttered bun. now i'm hungry dammit.

That's a roast beef in a bag, with marinade. It's not all that different than what we do at home, to prepare a brisket, etc. That pic is misleading.
