Hard to believe the Bears wouldn’t offer him
Maybe he just did not like the job. Could be thing were ownership is not good and thinks that he can find better. Brady has been said going after Ben Johnson hard for Vegas.

It’s interesting that Steno also got an interview but no one really making a big deal out of it.

Random musing, but I wonder if Saleh got the Cowboys HC job, if he would take Steno with him as OC. He would have play calling duties in a situation like that, which would be a big step towards an actual HC job.
I doubt it, Steno to Dallas is lateral so ML would block it.

FOX Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz appeared on "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" on Thursday and claimed the Bears job is down to just two candidates: Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy. "It's been made clear to me that for all intents and purposes, the Chicago job—and I haven't said this publicly—it is a two-horse race between Mike McCarthy and Ben Johnson," Schultz told Cowherd.

The Bears recently called the Steelers to see if they would be allowed to talk to and potentially try to trade for longtime head coach Mike Tomlin, only to have Pittsburgh rebuff their inquiry, league sources told ESPN.
Discussions never made it to Tomlin, nor would they have been successful even if they did.

Rumor on Ben Johnson is deal could be 6 years at $13 million a year making a guy who's never been a HC before in the top 10 highest paid coaches in the NFL.
