Said this in shout but will put it here, it seems to be telling that two OC candidates mentioned above have recent experience working with young spread QBs and helping them show improvement in the pro game. Doesn't seem like a match with Rodgers, but would be good matches with Love.
Also, regarding Drayton, if you have access to the Tyler Dunne podcast it's worth listening to the last ep to hear Bob McGinn rip into Gute and TT and the Packer way of doing ST. He pointed out coaching issues that exist with Drayton (for example Lancaster blowing the block on the blocked FG, 10 men on the GW FG by the 49ers), but mostly went over how the team just doesn't give roster spots to guys who don't have positional value beyond ST. He went over the rosters of other teams and gave examples of excellent ST players and leaders who really aren't good elsewhere on the field but the org values ST so they keep those guys around. Compare that to GB, where prime spots are given to players who don't contribute on ST - guys like Mercedes Lewis, Whitney Mercilus, Kevin King on and on. It was a compelling argument.
So that's a long winded way of saying, I don't know what they're going to do with Drayton. They probably will fire him because someone needs to take the blame, but I guess I'm a convert to the argument that unless Gute and ML have a "come to Jesus" moment in the roster building - until they decide that treading water isn't good enough, they want to be GOOD there - nothing is going to change no matter who coaches them.
