Our front office braintrust has severely botched this whole thing up ever since Rodgers said he wanted out. They probably still think they can get a Stafford haul.

What's the screw up now? The screw up - in retrospect - was not trading him last year and giving him a terrible contract. All that's left now is to reap the consequences. There isn't some magical move they could make to get the Jets to pony up more for him, it is what it is.

The screw up will be not recognizing Rodgers value, demanding too much, and not getting the deal done.
